  1. CAn anyone help me with a problem I am having with my Healthmaster? The Customer Service phone line does not answer.

I have used it about a year and love it, but a few months ago it started slinging rusty-colored, oily substance where the mixing cup fits on to the base. I have been wiping it off each time, but now the motor does not want to turn the blades. I can find nothing about this in the owners manual. Does it need oil, such as WD-40 or is it just wearing out?

  2. I don't have this problem with my own and I'm their blogger, I can't help troubleshoot this. Please send me your contact info to Jenniferroe@tristarproductsinc.com so I can forward you to a customer service rep.

  3. I just wanted to drop a line and let you know that I stumbled upon your blog through pinterest and was so intrigued that I went back in your archives to read every single post. I too have struggled with depression/anxiety/weight and I had started running last year to help myself. I managed to break my tailbone by clumsily falling down a flight of stairs the morning of my first race. Of course, I didn't realize how severely I had hurt myself until afterwards, but that was the end of my running career...until I found your blog. I started back up, I'm doing great, and I just signed up for a half-marathon. So, thank you. :)

  6. Hi Anna-

I'm not sure -I've never personally started a group. but I think if I were going to start my own running group I would start by putting out the word amongst my friends, posting something on Facebook, send out an Email to friends and co-workers, etc. I would specify what level of running you are planning to run at (beginner, casual, advanced, etc…) (If you're a 9 min. miler and want the group to all keep together then maybe a 12:30 min miler wouldn't be a great fit.)

Then once you have a few like-minded people interested, i'd figure out a location, time and place that seems most convenient for everyone. Finally, I would figure out a race that the group would train for together - 5k? 10k? maybe a half or full? depends on your level and length of training but I love aiming for a race together…

Those are a few ideas - hope it helps.

  10. Hi Jen!
I am newish to triathlon, and am a member of RTA, go figure. I was looking for race reports of Challenge Poconos and came across your blog. When I saw the RTA kit and water bottle, I got excited. Anyway, I'm going to sign up for the Poconos Oly this year, and just wanted to say hi. Maybe I'll see you around at the RTA socials or in the pool one day.
